> [ORP] What's in it for Aggnes?

Starbel
Daffid, I believe that I acted on your behalf previously. I can always do so again, and we can go back to Liverpool.

"Baa?"
That's two good offers. If they all go to Lancashire together - Liverpool, even, that being his favourite city - that's fine by him. He looks from one to the other, unsure.

OOC: you two decide between you who "adopts" him. Get him to Lancashire, I'll stop posting, you create an NPC with the same name and some punctuation. Feel free to borrow the sig graphic if you want it.

The Witchfinder General watches his suspect with a cool regard. He takes a note she has murdered a hound - no doubt through some foul black art. Then purloined a wagon. He signals to his men and they close in. As the wagon starts to move he steps from the shade of the tree to seize the lead horse by its bridle.

"Now what have we here? A shadow from Marya's past?"

"Hardly a shadow, unless you have a very odd idea of parenthood."

Not what she wanted, not at all, this interruption - but not the greeting she'd feared, either. It almost sounded as if he was more interested in her daughter than in her own possible witchery, and if so... a source of information?

"By what right do you stop me? I have the right to leave town as I wish, I even have travel passes to show the army commanders."

Well, some of the army commanders. Anto had been efficient and helpful, the English... still, if they were as good at stopping people as they'd proved to be at issuing passes, she had nothing to fear. This, after all, was the organisation (for want of a better word) that had thought her daughter was a competent general.

She produced a concerned expression: probably more useful than righteous indignation, here. "Is it about Marya? I've heard very little, only the official notification and the forms to transfer her property to me. She must have been buriefd before I got here, I haven't seen the body, or heard anything about a funeral."

OOC: sorry this is so slow, RL is being a pain

"Parenthood? That is a discussion we may reserve for the future. As for my rights," the Witch Finder General raises his black tome and smiles coldly. "I think were I to list them all, we would be here some time and I am not sure you would want me to continue by firelight...."

'Well Aggnes, you ask after your daughter. She lies not far from here, awaiting her burial. As a concerned mother, I am sure you will not want to hasten away, without first paying your respects?"

The Witch Finder General looks thoughtful as he awaits Aggnes' answer. 'Inherited her property eh?' he thinks with calculating satisfaction.
