[RP] Carisbrooke Castle & the Isle of Wight

Chris_braveheart
Prince Chris had been granted the Island of Wight quite some time ago along with the Title of Duke of Wight. The land had long been left in disrepair and Prince Chris had only spent a small amount of time there since given responsibility for the lands there. Prince Chris now had time and opportunity on his side, so he set off to the eastern coast of England where he boarded a small vessel and sailed the small distance out to the Island. The trip was short and uneventful with calm seas.

Arriving on the Island of Wight, Chris makes his way on horseback to Carisbrooke Castle. The Castle was in need of massive repairs but it was centrally located on the Island, easily to access all parts of the Island with a large vast view of the Channel and approaching vessels. Chris would need to establish a naval presence there and made note to contact the Lady High Admiral when he arrived back on the main Island, but for now, repairing the Castle was in order as well as establishing order and England's protection to the Island.

Chris visited the Castle and took note of the work that was needed. He had a long list, but he knew there were some locals very capable and willing to assist. He made his way into the town of Carisbrooke where he found an overseer he had heard about. After discussing the work that needed to be done, the overseer agreed to complete the project and work would begin right away.

Chris left the overseer the map of what repairs he wanted and items he wanted constructed before heading back across the Channel before darkness fell on the Isle of Wight.....

Chris would return very soon to keep tabs on the pace of the project and to continue his work there.....
