The Colony of Bath

Sajanzv
[OOC] Rosalynn hasnt logged in for 2 days now. The last time we spoke, she said she was not feeling well because she had a very bad headache and was going to rest. That was nearly 2 days ago. Myself, I have been ill on and off for the last 2-3 weeks, which was one reason why I didnt want to run again as mayor. But now I fear for Rosalynn. Please pray for her, all of you. [/OOC]

Sajanzv suddenly wakes up from his troubled sleep. For two days now, his illness had left him stricken and confined to bed. His face drained of blood but it wasnt because of the illness. The nightmare that had plagued him felt so real. He gropes in the dark of the night, and his worst fears are realized ................ Rosalynn !!!!!!

Sajanzv quickly lights a candle and rushes through each room of the house, their home. He even checks the kitchen and then the restroom, but cannot find his beloved wife, "Where are you, my love?"

He quickly dresses up, he runs to the Town Hall, his chest heaving and him gasping for breath, thinking she might be working away into the night. He reaches the door only to find that it is securely locked. Despair engulfs his heart, "Where is she?"

He then runs to the Rubber Ducky, every step a painful effort, but there is no one around at this time of the night. He goes behind the bar and checks the store room, there is nobody there.

He goes to the stables. He sees Neptune slowly munching on some grain in his paddock. He grabs Neptune's mane
, "Where is Rosalynn?" The animal looks silently at Sajanzv, his whinny the only answer.

Fatigue now falling on him like a dark cloak, Sajanzv wanders aimlessly down the streets of Bath. He wanders till he reaches the Church. As he looks up listlessly, he sees the Cross. His despair lifts a little as he opens the side door to the Church and enters. He walks all the way to the front and reaching the first pew, he kneels down to pray. He feels his strength slowly ebbing away and he murmurs,
"Rosalynn, Rosalynn" on and on as he surrenders to the pain once more, and falls unconscious.

[OOC]I apologize for my abrupt absence but it seems a construction worker dug into the phone/dsl lines knocking 5,000 out of reach, me included. Service won't be restored until Friday at the earliest so I'm over at a friend's place to keep in contact.[/OOC]

Too excited to sleep and afraid of waking Sajan, Rosalynn slips out of their bed and dresses quickly. Taking a lantern from the shelf, she applies a taper to the wick and sets the glow to low after tossing the remainder of the taper into the slumbering fire. With the lamp to light her way, Rosalynn leaves the house closing the door quietly behind her and making her way along the moon-drenched lane, she heads for the church.

For some reason solitude suits her fine at the moment so she is not suprised when upon reaching the church she discovers no one else present. Entering, she takes a seat on one end of a pew that keeps her in shadow, for her to observe if anyone enters, and yet remain unobserved herself. The warmth and coziness of the church lull her into a peaceful state of bliss as her thoughts turn towards her new life and the child growing inside her. Who will the babe resemble, Rosalynn wonders? Hopefully the babe will be a boy and have his father's dashing good-looks and positive demeaner. Heaven help it if it should come by any of her quirks that would be sure to set them at odds in future years.

Lost in her reverie, she doesn't notice right away when Sajan enters the church. Rosalynn jumps to her feet as she sees him stagger towards the front of the church, knowing full-well he had been sleeping when she left home earlier. Hurrying forward, she reaches him just in time to hear him call her name repeatedly before collapsing unconscious.

Frantically Rosalynn kneels down beside him and tries to rouse him, patting his cheeks, running her fingers through his hair, talking non-stop in hopes something brings him to as he is scaring her. She knew he had been ill of late, but not to what extent. Failing to awaken him, she hurries out of the church in search of someone, anyone that can help to carry Sajan home for her.

"Help! Help! Someone!! Please help me!!" Rosalynn cries out piteously while searching desperately for help.

Sorry, Rosa, noone to hears you - thinks Dani while passing around.

Well, one hears you but doesn't care much

One can easily sence the exiting feeling in the air of Bath. What is the reason? Ah, yeah, it is the man walking down the street. Wow, it cannot be That is... that is Dani He came back

Horray

Hm... the only strange thing is that now the good old Town Hall looks even darker than before. 'Well, how cares ' - Dani raises shoulders.

After stomping the slug in the road into roadkill mush, and not having found anyone to help, she returns to Sajan in the church and returns to her knees, lifting his head and laying it gently in her lap. She leans down and kisses him gently while tears of worry stream down her face.

"Please my love, my life, come back to me," she pleads with his unconscious form.
Sajanzv
Somewhere in the darkness surrounding Sajanzv, as he felt himself slipping deeper into his dark slumber, he heard a voice call out to him. He recognized his lovely wife's voice.

He struggles, he fights, he tries in vain to dispel the darkness and find her, but to no avail. Suddenly he feels warmth all over him and he realizes that the darkness was not reality. Reality was the warmth spreading over him, engulfing his soul and setting it on fire.

Slowly Sajanzv opens his eyes, and he can feel Rosalynn's lips on his, and see her tears coursing down her face. He responds to the kiss and slowly murmurs
, "Rosalynn"

Coming close to the church he hears the final call of someone. Lady Rosalynn, was it her? Not sure. Closing to the church as quickly as he can he only puases for a second to mentally note the man walking away fromthe church. Hmm, who's that, the people of this town are better than that.

Lady Rosalynn? Are you all right? What's the matter?

Where are you?
Rosalynn
Sobbing all the harder as Sajan's eyes flutter open, she smiles through her tears at him and kisses him all the harder for having worried her so. She hears a familiar voice, although muffled, shout from outside the church seeking her.

"Yes Gregarious, I'm in here as is Sajan and need your help, please," she calls out.
Gregarious
Gregarious finds Rosalynn craddling her husbands head in her lap

What... how....WHO DID THIS?

misunderstanding the situation, Lady Rosalynn explains that Sajan is ill.

OK but I'm new to town, who do I get? Do we just carry him home? Should if feltch someone? Amy? Xiax? Britta?

Instruct me Madam Mayor, I will do as you say.

Back at her own home, Rhiannon started sending out letters to the many branches of St. Cross, in hopes that a doctor might come to help Edward.

(OOC: Sorry for the long post. Missed a day, just catching up. )

Meda shook her head as she watched Greg return the way they’d come. She knew she shouldn’t have let him walk her home; it was sure to simply encourage him, which she didn’t want. But he was so gentlemanly, and she didn’t want to be rude. Yes, she often had verbal sparring matches with some of the regulars in the tavern, especially two of the town butchers and the local priest. But such were all in jest. Rudeness she couldn’t abide in anyone, and she felt ashamed when such slid off of her own tongue. Still, Meda had the feeling that, in her unwillingness to put out a fire, she had just fueled it more.

With a sigh, she set about the evening chores, which she’d managed to neglet that day. Night’s darkness had long closed in by the time she closed her door for the night. Still not tired, she decided to work a bit more on her sister’s song. A glimmer of an idea had finally hit her as she watched the moon rise, and she was eager to set it in ink. She’d heard Noresor practicing on his guitar earlier that day, behind the tavern. Perhaps once she had the words down she could convince him to help her lay out a melody. A backwards method, yes, but it seemed to work for her.

Meda went to retrieve her tablet, only to find it misplaced. Not an uncommon occurence, she set about tearing the house apart yet again. However after an hour or so and no tablet in sight, she begin to wonder if she’d left it somewhere. She took her staff, and stepped out into the chill of the night, pausing a moment to allow her eyes to adjust. An unusual stillness hung in the air as she made her way toward the tavern, passing no one. Not usually fearful, Meda felt an uneasy shiver run through her. When she neared town, her heart nearly stopped as she spotted a figure walking the other way. She froze, but he seemed not to have noticed her. As he continued moving away, she thought she recognized that rather.....confident......stride. She was immensely surprised, and thought she might be wrong; the person she was thinking of had......issues......with certain ones of the locals, and had been gone for quite a while. Though he’d been quite polite to her the last time they’d talked.

He continued on, and Meda made her way to the Ducky. She was surprised to find several chair knocked over. She could have sworn she didn’t leave them that way. Reflexively she righted them, then turned to search for her tablet. Sure enough she found it next to the dishes she’d conveniently ignored. She picked it up, and quickly headed back toward home, still plauged by uneasiness. As she approached the church, several shadows stirred in the doorway; one figure holding something large, with a second, smaller figure beside the first. Again Meda froze. As they approached her heart began beating faster, and she gripped her staff. Remembering the last time she’d rushed in swinging, she decided to wait this time. When they came close enough to see, Meda gasped in surprise. Lady Rosa was following Greg, who was carrying an extremely ill-looking Sajanzv.

“Lady Rosa! Greg, what happened?!”

Rosalynn jumps as she is startled when at the doorway of the church they meet Meda. Gregarious has helped Sajan to his feet and with her on the opposite side to help, she talking all the while, they had started for the door.

"I've no idea what is wrong with him, Meda, but he is very ill as I found him close to collapsing within the church and then went unconscious after whispering my name several times." Rosalynn says totally flustered. The not knowing what is wrong is eating at her. "Please go get Rhi and Father Xiax if you can locate them and meet us at our home as soon as they can possibly come." With that said, she futiley attempts to step up their pace to get Sajan home as quickly as possible.
-fromENmeda181
"Right away!" Meda hurried toward Lady Rhiannon's house. There was more chance of finding her than Xiax. That man was harder to track down than snowball in mid-July.

She made her way as quickly as safely possible through the streets. It wouldn't do to break her own neck trying to help. As she went, an unworthy thought bit at her mind. But she pushed it away. Surely He wouldn't be that heartless had he known She needed help, no matter what their differences. Would he?

She reached Lady Rhiannon's home, and was surprised to find a light in the window. She banged on the door.

"Lady Rhia! Please answer!"

No answer.

"Lady Rhia! Lady Rosa needs help!"

As they approach the house, Rosalynn runs ahead to open the door and turn down the covers on the bed while Gregarious helps Sajan inside. Looking worriedly at Sajan as he almost collapses again before making it to the bed, she gasps and jumps to his side to help him to the bed. She places the inside of one of her wrists to his forehead and almost yanks her hand back from the heat eminating from his skin. Quickly tucking him in, she goes to the kitchen to fill a bowl with cool water and a clean cloth all the while chattering to Gregarious who follows her like a lost soul.

"I've no idea what has stricken him and it worries me as I knew he hadn't been feeling well, but this....this totally confounds me. I was in the church when he stumbled in searching for me. I hadn't expected him to awaken before I returned from my nocturnal wanderings, so I'm sure that hasn't helped matters any, causing him undue worry atop this illness. I hope Meda is able to find Rhi in a hurry, or Father Xiax. Hmmm...Sajan's aunt is due to return from her trip abroad around this time so perhaps it would be good to send word for her also?
