The Colony of Bath

Gregarious
Gregarious reined in confused.

I....looking around to be sure they were not visible to any...I. I do not know what to say. T'is not possible you and I. You are of the church. I am but a simple soldier. I could dream such a thing as now. Perhaps I do dream. But it would not make it possible.

I can relieve you of one burden though. Do not fear hurting me. A simple smile and all is forgotten. I am here to serve you Ellsbeth MacLochlainn Halliwell and nothing on gods green earth will prevent that.

We should continue, it is not good to be sitting here in the middle of the road.
Gregarious
Gregarious could not see the road ahead. Now would be the perfect time to be attacked he would never see it coming. Just like his luck that would be.

She loved him? She had just the previous day thrown the medallion he now wore over his heart back at him. He had given it to her a week previous. She was the deaconess of Bath, sworn to Jah, not able to marry by church decree. Just like his luck that was.

Where were the blasted thieves when you needed them! Anything to refocus on. His mind whirled. What would Sajanzv have done if he had heard this? What would the church say? Her family? This was impossible. Even the mysteries of Jahs movements could not explain this.

WOMEN! Bah, they were to fickle. Best to just stay as far away as one could to keep ones sanity. They never want but what they may not have.

She loved him. She had said it. All the nights of teasing and merry making in the taverns. He had known first off that he was taken completely. But Ellsbeth? She was untouchable, not for someone like himself. She was bigger than that, destined for greatness.

She loves me?

Where ARE the bandits.

Oh lord.

A letter arived in Sierra's house, a simple letter that apears that it was written in a hurry.

My dearest Sierra
I am writing to you now as I will be in Bath in a day or two. I can't wait untill I see you again. I missed you and I am sorry I had to leave in such a hurry when we got back. You were on my mind all this time and I want to talk to you. I count every mile this past days, as every step brings me closer to you. I just wish that we will continue were we left it.
Anxiously awaiting to see you again

Sierra heard the knock upon the door and ran out of the bedroom to get it. She opened the door wide and smiled when she saw Sajan and Dj standing on the other side.

"Come in, gentlemen! I am very glad you could make it tonight."

Sierra ushered her guests inside and Jill walked up beside her.

"I hardly need to make introductions for Sajan, but I would like to introduce you, Davon, to our mayor...well, our recently former mayor that is. This is Jill!"

Sierra watches as both Jill's and Davon's eyes light up with recognition.

"Have the two of you met before?"

Before either of them reply, a messenger arrived and knocked on Sierra's door. The four people looked up in surprise, as no other visitors were expected, and Sierra excused herself and went to the door. She opened the letter and scanned it quickly, then asked the messenger to wait. Jill, Sajan, and Davon watched as Sierra dashed to her desk and quickly penned a response to her letter:

Quote:
My dear,

I was so very happy to receive your letter just now and have actually made the messenger wait while I write this. I too, am looking forward to seeing you and I am smiling now thinking of what could be...please come directly to my house and I will make sure you have a place to stay. Once you enter Bath, you will need to take road that heads toward the forest. You will pass over a small bridge that crosses a stream. If you should get lost, there are many who know where I live. My house is set back from the road and there is a sheep pen on the side. I planted some flowers in the front as well. Please travel safely and I will be watching the road for you!

Your Sierra

She quickly sealed the letter and handed it to the messenger along with a few pence for his trouble. After he had gone, the three other dinner guests looked at her and smiled, knowing her mind would be otherwise engaged...

A man enters the town. A man of normal height ,but who is quite well built. He wears clothes that are in all apearances poor and old. He seems to be in the shame shape as his clothing, he is tired and dirty. All that can set him apart is the kilt he wears and his long red hair. He looks around as he walks and even though he is clearly tired, he smiles and nods to the people he meets warmly. He holds a piece of paper that seems to be a map, as he looks to it and then to the town deciding what road to take. He seems to have been close to his destination as he hides the piece of paper back in his backpack and talks to a man he saw on the street. He directed him to a house and he walked to it. Seemingly even happier, he knocks on the door.
Gregarious
The past couple days had been a blur. Luckily there was much ado in Somerset and Gregarious had been able to lose himself in preparations. Though it never left his mind. He could see her face, heard the words so unexpected. Everything was crystalline in his memory, he was sure it would be the last thing he would see on this earth.

But it was impossible no matter how much he wished it. No matter what she wanted. That path was closed. But even if it could not be, he could be content knowing the truth. There was much work to be done, may things to be accomplished in this lifetime. If he were destined to be the last of his line so be it. Wins was a good man he would make a good Viscount or his progeny would as Jah ordained it.

Gregarious idly caressed the cover of the writings of Aristotle he had commissioned on his last trip to Salisbury. She had thrown the medallion in his face but then she had also said what she had a few days later.

Gregarious waited at the road to Ellsbeth's house. Shamus would be by soon enough. The letter: For Lady Ellsbeth. would tell Shamus what to do. As Gregarious spotted him returning from his daily lunch in town Gregarious left the bundle on the road and retreated to the wood where he could not be observed.

Meanwhile...

As the wooden door swung open a dusty white haze exploded into the morning air. Coating the ground with fine gains of...flour. The knight emerged with an idiotic grin across his face cluthing at two sacks filled with his first sucessfull grinding since his Mill had been completed

'I have flour! Out of my way!!!'

He plodded along hefting the two sacks over each of his shoulders and made his way to the town market. Amid the bustling traders and salesmen Valatan lay down his bags and stood proud beside them

'Flour! Fifteen pounds, Fifteen pence the bag!'

He had a good feeling about this. Maybe some wheat field would be a worthwhile investment...

Bowing to Sierra as he enters, he sees a lady next to her...

Not believing his eyes... it was the same lady he had seen while arriving to Bath... with a most bright smile, he bows and kisses her hand, and as he hears the question of Sierra, turning to answer, a knock on the door interrupts them...

Turning to Sajan, he thought perhaps it was an urgent message for him, but it was for Sierra... Seeing the joy on her face, he was sure this dinner was going to be great...

OOC: This has gotten a bit out of order, but hopefully is still understandable!

Once the messenger left with her letter for Doraemon, Sierra turned her attention back to her guests. The shy looks Davon and Jill stole of each other did not escape notice, and Sierra thought that this evening might indeed prove interesting. Jill excused herself and asked Sierra's help in the kitchen. The two women left the men sitting in the parlor area while they attended to the food.

"Jilllll? Are you going to tell me what those looks were about?" Sierra giggled and smiled as she said it.

"I don't know what you are talking about, dear!" The coy smile said otherwise, but Sierra decided not to persue it further at the moment. They gathered together the roasted lamb, boiled vegetables seasoned with herbs, and hot bread taken out of the oven only a few minutes before.

"Dinner is ready!" The two men rose from thier seats and went to the table and stood by their places. Sajan offered to carve the meat and Sierra gladly accepted. Everyone began passing thie plates to Sajan when another knock came at the door.

"Ok, I swear, I don't normally get this many visitors!" Sierra stood and went to the door. She could feel everyone's eyes upon her as she opened the door.

To her shock and delight, there stood a red-haired Scot looking down at her with a big smile on his face. Her mind raced with wonder at how he could be here so quickly....

"Doraemon! Come in, dear. Supper is on the table and there is always room for one more--please join us!"

She had so much to tell him and so many things to ask....but for now that would have to wait....
-fromENDoraemon
Doraemon was too happt to see her again and moved to her as to embrace her, but after his first step he noticed that they weren't alone. Hearing that there was supper on the table he wonders what all this is about, but his body remind him that food would be nice. He walks in looking at Sierra and before moving to his assigned seat he goes to the other visitors first, soffering his hand and shacking that of the men, and kissing those of the ladies, while presenting himself. "I am Doraemon Keith, just a simple Scot happy to be at your company. I have just arrived here so it is good to know friends of Sierra. I hope I will be found to your liking." Sayin that he sits down, and looks back to Sierra again.

Jill welcomed the men to dinner and bustled about, getting everything on the table. Conversation was lively, and no one could miss the looks exchanged between Sierra and their Scottish guest.

As she started clearing away some of the dishes, a blinding headache struck her in the kitchen. She stuck her head out long enough to call for Sierra in what she hoped was a cheery tone and then slumped against the wall.

"I must go lay down.. Please make my excuses, I'm sorry. I'm really not feeling well at all." She carefully headed up the back stairs.

(OOC: I am moving so I will be gone for a few days. Sierra and Greg have permission, as usual, to godmod me where necessary, but it better be about how I'm terribly ill! LOL)
pnj
(OOC: It seems Jill just expanded my house. I had no idea I had a second floor! lol)

Sierra followed after JIll and helped get her comfortable in bed, then brought her a cold compress to lay over her eyes. She set a cow bell on the table next to bed.

"Since I am downstairs, please ring for me if you need anything dear. I do hope this headache passes soon."

Jill nodded and smiled weakly and then closed her eyes. Sierra went back downstairs. She was met with 3 pairs of concerned eyes, and she assured them that Jill would be fine--that it was a headache and would pass soon. DJ looked most disappointed by this news and became quiet for a few minutes.

"Come, let's pass the food around before it gets cold. And Sajan, would you be so kind to serve some lamb to Doraemon?"

Sajan nodded and Doraemon's plate was passed--Doraemon's hand brushing against Sierra's as he did so. They both smiled and a blush crept into Sierra's cheeks.
