Jill laughed a little. "I seem to be all in one piece. I missed a step, I think, but I didn't fall too far. I twisted my ankle a little when I missed that step, or came down too hard on it, but I don't think anything's broken." Jill propped her right foot under her and stood up with Sierra's help. She gingerly tested her left foot, then hopped to a chair, still leaning on Sierra.
"It's swelling already. Guess I should wrap it. Perhaps tomorrow, when normal people are awake... Could you find a carpenter for me and have them whittle a cane or a crutch? I can't bear being laid up for days over a silly ankle."
Jill smiled as Sierra brought her a cup of water. "Ah, that is what I was after all along, thank you." She then winced as Sierra started to wrap her swelling ankle. Seeing the look of concern in Sierra's face, "No, keep going. It hurts now but I know it will feel better once you're done. Thank you again. I'm sorry I'm such a bother."
