(ORP) Royal Parade & Coronation of King Cullan Holifard

Jasmine.
Jasmine smiled warmly at him not needing words to know what he wanted to say as his eyes revealed enough. She nodded softly to his request though he did not need to request what he could demand. She whispered, "Of course you are welcome to."

She stood up wondering if offering him a meal would be accepted but from the look on his face and his wished to stay for she knew nothing should distract him from his task. She patted his shoulder saying nothing more as words were no longer needed. She left giving orders that no one should disturb the King's Vigil until sunrise.

She rose early, if she actually slept which she was not sure if she did or not, and headed right away to the chapel. She nodded softly at the guard as he knocked on the chapel door to remind the King of the important plans of the day. She slipped inside with a warm smile, "Good morning, Your Majesty.. I hope you found what you were looking for and you are ready for what is to come... I know you must be off now but I wanted to give you something before you go to remind you of what I said last night."

She reached out opening her hand revealing a silver Pin of Saint George She offered it to him with a warm smile, "Please accept this small token from myself and the Order. It was gifted to me by Sir Falcie our Order's founder and a wonderful knight of his time. When he gave it to me he told me when I am in doubt or things are rough I should look at it to remind me of the trust he has in me to be what I should to overcome it and that I have what it takes.... For this I wish to offer it to you today, to remember the Knight you are and should always be."

Kazzia_llewellynn
Taarna asked about the fellow in the corner, but Kaz shook her head. I'm not sure what we're supposed do do. She couldn't help but smile as her friend squeezed her hand. I'm sure the queen knows who he is, perhaps we should ask her? I don't want to disrupt him if he's assigned a duty. She looked at Taarna with her head tilted, or Perhaps Lady Lavea might know? She glanced over at the gentleman in the corner again, trying to recall where she'd seen him before. As she saw Taarna's eyes sparkle she suddenly wanted to giggle and quickly took a sip of her drink to avoid it.

Lavea
Lav remembered smiling to Demdyke's offer of help. Some of those bridesmaids could sleep through an avalanche, but knocks had already been sent. "I think we're catered for Sir, but thank you for your offer. I'm sure there is other good work to be done."

Lav heard Kazzia and Taarna, and looked out the window down to the courtyard below where a man was strumming his lute. "Looks like Noromical, he'll be playing later." She finished sopping up her soup, then put the bowl aside.

"If you'll excuse me a moment Ma'am." Heading out she went to check on the progress. Water was nearly heated. The first groomsman had arrived, and people were gathering down below. She checked there, and saw food tents had been erected in the yard and some benches laid out to feed the arrivals.

Large cauldrons of chicken broth stood ready to be served from, with loaves of fresh baked bread from the kitchens.

That concluded she knocked and stuck her head round the door of the King's room. "Hello Sir Galrador, glad to see you up nice and early. Do you have everything you need?"

Cullan
Cullan smiled when she saw her, already prepared for the ceremony. He thought she was just there to see him off, but her gift had surprised him. He'd heard many tales of Falcie and Umberlee, all of them good. Shaking his head, he took her gift, slipping it into his pouch. She'd done so much already, he was at a loss. Damming propriety, he pulled her into a hug, holding her tightly as he whispered "thank ya."

Uncomfortable with all the emotion, he quickly climbed into the carriage. Soon they were back at the Tower, chased by the sun. He couldn't be late...not to his own wedding.

Cane clicking as he furiously limped toward the rooms set aside, he began to take stock in what he needed. He'd dressed before he left, so that he didn't have to force his lads to deal with his infirmity. All that was left was his fur mantle, his hat, and a shave. Oh. And the groomsmen.

The King was surprised that someone was there. The Mercian that had impressed him so much.
"Mornin' Galrador! Welcome ta th' madhouse!"

Galrador
Right at the time he stuffed his mouth full with a piece of bread, the door opened and Cullan entered the room. It seemed the man had been awake for some time, as he clearly spoke with a clear voice, welcoming him to the madhouse. Ironically, it's probably how he would describe what was about to happen today as well.

Trying to quickly get the bread out of the way before replying, he almost choked on it. Slamming himself on the chest once, made it slide down his throat. He stood up, though paused a little before saying anything, unsure if it was King, still Lord, simply Sir, or all at once. He finally decided his Highness would be best, if only to be on the safe side after all.

Good morning your Highness. Galrador made a subtle bow to the man. I hope you don't mind me starting breakfast yet. I wasn't sure when you would return, although I had actually expected you to be here upon my arrival. I hope all is well?

Giapettin, as a representative of the Sussex Army, stood in the lobby.
As Lord Galrador approached and asked if Lord Cullan returned from his personal reflection, he shook his head and Lord Galrador entered the room.

Giapettin felt honored to be so close to what will be the most important event of his life.

Not long after Lord Galrador entered the room, his Majesty King Cullan came...Giapettin quickly straighten his back and stood still as the King passed by and entered the room.

Elsbet
Finding her way out to the courtyard by following her nose, Elsbet stumbled upon the tents set up for feasting.
Grateful that she hadn't ended up in some forbidden chamber in the castle, the baroness waited patiently with the rest of the crowd for the meal to be served..

...Early morning, around six of the clock...
This hour finds a certain large fellow in the royal stables, and attached carriage house. Just completing his check of the animals, James quietly walks next door to check on the carriages to be used. As he works, our neighbor smiles impishly at the still-sleepy objections of the crew that he has no need. On the King's conveyance, our friend finds a wheel squealing. To the young fellow nearest at hand, James murmurs Get tha' aff therre, an' see it properly greased. If th' wheel dinna run righ', see it replaced. I'll nae ha' this contraption throwin' a wheel on us. Next, our large friend heads round to the courtyard of the Tower. As he goes, James notes soft light showing in some of the windows. Good. Tha' lot are up., says he, to no one in particular. All things appearing to be more or less ready, the young Squire reminds himself of the Virtue of Patience, as he moves off to the barracks and offices of the Royal Guard to get himself ready for the day's events. It would be his first event as Captain, and he would need to look the part. Even if he did privately prefer his working uniform to all the flash and finery...

Robinoflocksley
Robin arrived to the tower early as he'd been instructed as a groomsman, having promised to meet Llyres at the start of the parade. It had been a bit surprising to be asked to be a groomsman, honestly. He'd worked with Cullan in the embassy, and had admired the other man's way of doing things, but hadn't thought they were close enough to have been invited as a groomsman of all things. Still the woodsman had taken the time to dress up a bit more than he usually would, in an outfit of the same style as his usual woodsman's clothes but of finer cloth, deep greens and black, rather than the usual muted greens and browns. Bits of braiding and fur embellished the outfit, and his rank pin in the Devon Navy was displayed proudly, as he'd be riding with his wife and the navy later on.

As he was showed into the rooms reserved for the King's preparations, he offered a small bow to the King. "Your Majesty, good morning. Are you ready for today?" he greeted with a small smile, before turning to the other man. He knew him, had seen him in Parliament and in the REA, but wasn't certain they'd ever truly met. He offered a polite nod, even as his mind scrambled for the man's name. "Lord.... Galrador, isn't it? We've worked together before, but I don't think we've ever actually been introduced. I'm Robin." A wry smile tugged the corners of his mouth up further, and green eyes glanced to Cullan again, looking the older man over.

"Your Majesty..." he said slowly, taking in the way the man leaned on his cane. He knew Cullan had issues with pain from time to time, having seen it in the embassy, though he didn't know the exact details. "Perhaps you should take a seat for a while, and eat something while you've the time. It's going to be a long day before we get to the feast, and I doubt there'll be much time to get anything before then." Hoping the older man wouldn't take offense to what was for him, common logic, Robin moved to the table to grab some toast for himself, before crossing the room to a window, nudging it open just a crack before he settled beside it. Cullan looked mostly ready as it was, so the woodsman doubted it would take much to finish the preparations for the parade and wedding.

Joels is man of nature. He enjoys gardens and open air more than castles. He walks round in the garden until a young lad runs up to him tipping him off that the King is back and in his rooms. Joels tips the boy well and heads inside following the directions of the many guards who are filling up the place.
He knocks on the door and let himself in. He spots the King talking to a gentleman he doesn't know-yet-. He bows deeply to his Majesty-to-be.
Good morning, you Majesty. I was about to send a searching party for you. I was afraid you fell asleep somewhere and we will have to find you to wake you up. You look.... awake and sober.

He chuckles then turns to the other man and extend his hand in proper greeting.
I am Joels Joe of Dover, Knight of the Crown, St. George Order and General of Sussex Rangers; 3rd Division. It is nice to meet you.

Noodle
Noodle had been up half the night, and it was a long day ahead. The wake up call was more of a reminder than an alert. An entire day surrounded by hundreds of people wasn't Noodle's idea of good time, unless they were all marching in time across a muddy field.

He had already dropped off his gift to the King on his way into the tower, then Noodle went to King's' room for breakfast. On his way he passed many portraits of the different Kings and Queens of England. Many he knew personally, many he served under. It was odd that the longest ruler of Noodle's lifetime, King LJS was missing from the wall.

When Noodle entered the room, he saw that the King had just arrived - he was looking very hairy. Noodle flicked a cut throat razor from his sleeve, and clicked the blade onto the table; Good morning, your Majesty, Noodle grinned.

Jessa.jane
Jessa hadn't slept a wink all night though she wasn't surprised. It was the first night since she had wed that she wasn't sleeping in the arms of her husband, and after several hours of staring at the ceiling and counting the stones in the wall she finally settled watching out as the night slowly turned to day. She watched as in the early hours everything already started to come to life and she found distraction in watching as everything was being set up for the day. She hadn't realized how late in the morning it had become until the knock came to the door signaling time to attend breakfast.

She quickly dressed in a dress tasteful and respectable. It was a bit more sophisticated than her normal choice but having only been in London once or twice before and never the tower, she wanted to make the proper impression and not embarrass her family.

She found her way to where to dine to find some of the ladies already finished with the morning nourishment, and looking out the window. She knew she should eat, but the moment her mind found even a second with no designated thought, she thought of her Edward and wondered if he had as well endured a sleepless night. Trying to shake her feeling she grabbed a small something to eat, paying not much heed to what what it was and joined the ladies. Good morning ladies. Ready for a busy day? And what has our attentions this morning?

She smiled determined she would not dwell on missing her husband as there was nothing which could be done of it until later, and she would find make the most of the day until she could get the good night and good morning kisses she missed.
